Memorial Day

Today the weather was nice, clear skys, sunny and warm considering we just had 4 days of solid rain from a tropical storm that moved up the east coast. Yup, it was a nice day and I hope it was the same for everyone else. My family and I spent Memorial day just relaxing, letting the kids play outside, and we even had some cake. But despite all the fun I want to remind people, Memorial day is a day to remember the fallen soliders who gave their all during any American war. This is not the day to thank a living vetern, but, to give thanks to those only gone from this world but remain in the hearts and minds of their loved ones. If you are looking for something to do during Memorial day you can always visit a cemetary. Place a small American flag or flowers on the headstones of those who died in war. Say a prayer, thanking those soliders or simply keep them in your thoughts for the day. So remember during your bbqs, trips to the beach, etc, to think of those who have given their life for our liberty and keep them in mind as you enjoy your day. Because of them we are able to enjoy our liberty and these three day weekends.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 13:15
